National technology and innovation community CanBIM says it is launching a quarterly Technical Summit series to help the building and infrastructure adopt new tools and technology to digitize processes and establish new best practices.
The first event will be hosted online on Aug. 25 from 11:50 a.m. to – 5:45 p.m. via the CanBIM website. The first instalment in the series will focus on Emerging Construction Estimating
“At the intersection of the construction process, technologies, business, and relationships lie one
of the most difficult parts of our industry; estimating,” CanBIM says in its statement. “Shifts in the marketplace, changes in client demands, and the introduction of new technologies and tools have made their impact on the industry, but how has it impacted the estimating process?”
CanBIM says the construction estimating technical summit “will offer informative and innovative insights into how companies can work on improving the estimating process while navigating the unique challenges and opportunities in the industry today.”
“Industry presentations will be delivered by market leading estimating tools; Autodesk Takeoff,
Procore, iTWO costX – RIB Software, Stack, InEight, ProEst, Civalgo, Orbiseed and more,” the statement says.
