Detail Of Services: The Request for Proposals (the RFP) is an invitation by the City to submit nonbinding proposals for the Replacement of the Cooling Brine Headers at the Dryden Memorial Arena (the Deliverables) as set in out in this section of the RFP. The selected Proponents will be requested to enter in negotiations for an agreement with the City for the provision of the Deliverables. The City of Dryden requires the services of a professional refrigeration contractor to complete the work described in the paragraphs below. • Removal of the existing brine from the floor into storage tanks on site for future use. (Contractor to Supply Tanks). • Disconnect all hose connections in header trench • Removal of existing brine headers and Trench Supports. • Measure all floor circuit piping (ID) and insert the properly sized machined Splices. Each splice will require (6) SS Gear clamps to complete attachment to header. • Install fabricated 6 pipe, 1 Schedule 80 nipples drilled, tapped and cemented in on 8 centers, nipples shall not protrude into the headers and must be factory fabricated. • All floor piping is to be doubled clamped with stainless steel clamps. • Headers mains installed to the existing butterfly valves in the adjacent room. • Supply and install new header support system in the trench (uni-strut) to support the headers at the appropriate heights • Supply and install new purge and drain valves on each header end. • Pressure Floor system and leak Check all new piping, joints and return bends (if accessible). • Recharge existing brine back into system and remove (purge) air. • Test and top-up Calcium & Brine system as required. • Provide Brine Analyses – Immediately after install o Additional analyses @ 3 months of operation • Run system pump to ensure no leaks and proper operation. • To be installed by a Certified Refrigeration Technician and/or Welder. • TSSA inspection fees included and any other necessary permits or inspections. • Supply and install Rink Seal Pro Maintenance product
