Hamilton LED Lighting Retrofits

Detail Of Services: City Housing Hamilton Corporation (CHH or CHHC) is replacing existing interior, exterior and In-Suite lighting with new LED lighting at 185 and 206 Jackson Street East, occupied residential properties in Hamilton. The City Housing Hamilton project reference is PT21-08. The scope of Work includes but is not limited to: • Replacement of all lighting in common areas with new LED lamps, ballasts, and sockets in accordance with the Specifications and Drawings. Re-use existing wiring and power supply circuits for all new fixtures unless otherwise noted. • Provisional Pricing has been requested for replacing all lighting within in-suite areas and site lighting, including associated required security guard services to facilitate and be present for all in suite Work. • Provisional Pricing has been requested to provide the difference in Price to supply and install new replacement LED drivers in accordance with the Specifications and Drawings in lieu of supplying and installing new LED-compatible ballasts. • Removal of exit signs and emergency lighting throughout the building. Installation of new exit signs and emergency lighting throughout the building as per layout drawings. • Contractor to maintain minimum lighting levels required for site lighting during construction, including provision of temporary lighting and power connections as required. • Provide wall mounted and ceiling mounted occupancy sensors as indicated. Sensors to be dual technology sensors. • Successful Bidder shall be responsible for, and obtain all necessary permits, inspections, verifications, etc., as required by all authorities having jurisdiction over this Work (e.g., ESA), and pay for all fees related to same. Owner has confirmed with the Building Department that City of Hamilton Building Permits are not required for the Work.• Comply with all requirements outlined in the Ontario Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) Save On Energy Retrofit Program, Interim Framework, including collection, preparation, and provision of all associated incentive funding documents outlined in this Request for Tender.• Provide an itemized disposal record of all disposed fixtures and any other required documentation to support incentive applications, including photographs.• Obtaining ESA verifications, permits and all other required clearances from authorities for all related electrical work completed.185 Jackson Street East is a 7 storey residential building with a two-level parking garage. The building contains 50 suites, a community room, laundry room and an office. 206 Jackson Street East is a 6-storey residential building with one basement level. 206 Jackson Street East contains 30 suites, a laundry room and a community room. Both buildings were constructed in 1991.The current lighting in both buildings is a mixture of incandescent and fluorescent. Some of the fixtures have been replaced over time due to damage or age but most fixtures are original to the buildings. It is City Housing Hamilton Corporation’s intention to replace all common area lighting with new, more energy efficient LED lighting.
