Detail Of Services: The Municipality is seeking to engage the services of a qualified, experienced contractor to provide professional services for the complete construction of a concrete outdoor rink slab over an existing outdoor ice pad located at 2 West Carling Bay Road, Nobel, Ontario. The existing ice pad is approximately 75’ x 162’. The new slab shall span the ice pad as well as provide for additional clearance on the sides and on the ends for a total dimension of approximately eighty feet by one hundred eighty feet (80’x 183’) butted up to grade beams on the sides and sidewalk on the front end and end wall on the rear end of the rink. The existing covered structure is open in nature with sufficient interior height for equipment and is accessed via a 14’ x 16’ roll up door at the rear end of the structure. The sides of the building are open and the roof over-hang is such that it protects the ice surface from both sun and precipitation. The clearance is approximately twenty-three (23) feet high at centre and twelve (12) feet at the boards.

Consultant to co-ordinate work/design with Enbridge/Union gas rep – Provide required civil design to ensure proper grading for new generators and ancillary equipment. – Provide required permits and site plan approval if required. – Proponent to co-ordinate with sound/environmental consultant to ensure overall noise compliance. McMaster will retain sound/environmental consultant. – Proponent to ensure design is in compliance with the submitted System Impact Assessment – Facilitate the completion of the Connection Impact Assessment with Hydro-One on behalf of McMaster University.
