Owen Sound Sydenham Crescent Sanitary Pump Station Construction

Detail Of Services: The City of Owen Sound (City) owns and operates the Sydenham Sanitary Pump Station (SPS). The existing Sydenham SPS is located across from 45 5th Street East and services approximately six (6) residences on the 5th Street East Crescent. The existing SPS is comprised of an approximate 1.5 m dia. circular precast concrete structure with one (1) pump discharging into a 75 mm dia. Force main, control panel, level floats, alarm dialer, and a 150 mm dia. emergency overflow pipe. Under this contract, rehabilitation of the SPS will be completed including, but not limited to: – Decommissioning and removal of existing internal and external components as indicated in the contract documents. – Installation of a second sewage pump and re-installation of the existing sewage pump, and associated components, and hardware. – New mechanical and yard piping, including valving, etc. – New duplex pump control panel, stand and concrete pad adjacent the existing panel location, including cellular auto dialer, level controls & backup floats, new wiring, conduit, etc. – Replacement of the existing concrete top cap with new top cap and access hatch. – Replacement of existing ladder rungs as required. Bypass pumping for sewage pumping station downtime to complete upgrade work.
