OSS/MNRF Tube Lake Dam and Bridge Replacement

Detail Of Services: Request for Bids for the construction of a new dam and a new bridge upstream of the existing Tube Lake Dam and removal of the existing dam. The dam is located on the Waterfalls Road, three kilometres east from the Town of Spanish, Ontario. The dam was constructed in 1953 and comprises of a 4-metre-high concrete gravity structure with a single stop log sluiceway, earth embankments and no emergency spillway. Incorporated in the dam is a road bridge. The concrete structure is in poor condition and must be replaced. The work consists of the construction of a new reinforced concrete overflow weir with one stop log control sluiceway and the construction of a new bridge, immediately upstream of the existing dam. The work shall also include the installation of a temporary bridge to maintain access on Waterfalls Road. The contractor shall stage the removal of the existing dam and bridge in accordance to the construction drawings. Work in the water can occur between July 16, 2022 to September 30, 2022 and July 16, 2023 to September 30, 2023.
