Mississauga Fire Stations 102 and 108 Renovations Construction Management Services

Detail Of Services: Qualified construction firms who provide construction management services are invited to submit their credentials to pre-qualify for an upcoming procurement process (Request for Tender (RFT)) for CM services for Fire stations 102 and 108; the first of many. It is the City’s intent that approximately four (4) top-ranked respondents will be pre-qualified to bid on multiple fire stations renovation projects over a period of five (5) years. The successful Bidder (in the RFT process) will be part of a team formed by the City and consultant(s) for the implementation of the project(s).Construction management services for FS 102 & 108 are expected to commence in May 2022 with substantial completion in December 2023. Background Mississauga Fire and Emergency Services (MFES) has a ten (10) year capital plan to renovate thirteen (13) fire stations across the City of Mississauga (the “City”). The total construction/renovation cost for this portfolio is estimated to be approximately $25 – $30 million. Two Fire stations, FS 102 and FS 108 have been approved for renovation during the years 2022/2023. Locations and details of the remaining renovation projects will be announced to those Construction firms that are short-listed through this Request for Pre-Qualification (RFPQ) process. Objectives/Benefits The City of Mississauga operates Fire stations with dedicated facilities for its fire crews. During renovation works, it is expected that one (1) fire crew will be working from each facility in a temporary modular building located on site, in an effort to maintain operations for this location. One of the truck bays will be operational to accommodate a fire truck. The temporary modular/mobile buildings are currently being procured. Another RFPQ is being administered to shortlist Architectural firms for bidding on these renovation projects.
