Detail Of Services: Credit Valley Conservation Authority (CVC) is seeking qualified landscape architecture firms to submit proposals to refine existing conceptual Public Realm designs and detailed designs of the terrestrial Habitat features of the Jim Tovey Lakeview Conservation Area. While the construction of the new conservation area is well underway based on an approved set of drawings with basic public realm and grading plan, CVC and its project partners – Region of Peel and Toronto and Region Conservation Authority – are seeking to revise the public realm and habitat design features to improve the overall conservation area and its long-term success.
The selected consultant will work with the JTLCA project team, extended project partners, and community stakeholders to refine the public realm design for the conservation area and produce detailed design drawings, site specific grading plans and specifications for construction. This stage of design builds off the existing work and is not a fundamental re-think of basic park elements which have been established by the approved Environmental Assessment (EA) and by the grading, fill and construction staging plan. Rather, this design process is intended to elevate the public realm and habitat features and respond to the changes around the conservation area which are now coming into focus for the project.
This Request for Proposal outlines the proposed timelines and scope of work that the successful consultant team will be expected to deliver. However, alternate work plans or processes proposed by respondents to deliver the key outputs of this RFP will be considered and evaluated.
