For almost 12 years, the Niagara Home Builders’ Association (NHBA) has been granting scholarships to individuals beginning post-secondary programs.

The program was established to recognize the importance of continuing educational studies beyond high school. Since its conception, the NHBA has awarded over $38,000 to students pursuing careers in a variety of fields which have included engineering, health sciences, teaching and business studies.

This year, three young students were awarded scholarships, each following a different career path.

The winners of the 2021 NHBA scholarship include:

  • Brooke Musgrave – Sponsored by Complete Plumbing, Brooke has been accepted to Brock University, where she will be working towards her BA in Psychology
  • Lauren Stoddart – Sponsored by Complete Plumbing, Lauren has selected to study Concurrent Education Intermediate/Senior at Brock University.
  • Sidney Toomer – Sponsored by Silvergate Homes, Sidney will attend Sheridan College where she has been accepted into the Make-up for Media and Creative Arts Program.

Funds for the scholarship program are typically raised through the associations annual Golf Classic which is taking place this year on Aug. 10 at Peninsula Lakes Golf Club in Fenwick.
