Pioneer job fair seeks to fill positions in Ontario mining operations

Pioneer Construction held a job fair in Sudbury on Wednesday, in hopes of filling positions in two Ontario mining operations.

Openings range from equipment operators to surveyors at Barrick Mine in Hemlo and Mishi Mine near Wawa. Available positions include room and board, and travel expenses, as well as training for specific positions.

Available jobs at Hemlo include Class D drivers, heavy equipment operators for excavators, rook trucks, graders, and dozers, and surveyors. Mishi is looking for excavator and dozer operators and rock truck drivers.

Other job openings are listed on Pioneer’s website in Sudbury and Sault Ste Marie.

Pioneer has completed projects in road, sewer and watermain, and works on forestry and railroad jobs in addition to its mining work.
