Detail of Services
he successful contractor will be required to provide carpet removal and floor installation service for Queen’s University for all Residence rooms and office areas located in Residence buildings. Houses for the Community Housing Properties
The contractor is responsible for all waste disposal from floor and carpet installation and to supply and install new flooring and carpet as required. Queen’s may remove existing flooring in some instances and will provide direction as required.
All residence rooms and community housing properties will be vacant and all furnishings will be removed prior to installation.
In some cases the new flooring will be installed over old hard flooring and others will be installed where carpet was. It is the contractor’s responsibility to communicate with the department managers if the sub floor requires repair prior to new floor being installed.
Estimated annual volume of work will be approximately 50000sq ft (2 buildings) for Residences (Res) and 50000 sq ft for Community Housing (CH).
