International engineering firm Walter P Moore opened its first Toronto office on August 15, increasing its already considerable North American footprint.

The company provides services to preserve and rehabilitate structures, designing efficient and innovative solutions across the globe.

“Our Toronto office marks our third location in Canada and our 23rd in North America,” said Dilip Choudhuri, president and CEO, of Walter P Moore. “We are excited about our continued growth and the opportunity this new office represents in expanding our Diagnostics and Structural Engineering services and building client relationships worldwide,”

Walter P Moore has tapped Maziyar Bolour, an engineer with 22 years of experience and who specialises in building envelope and building sciences, to lead the firm’s Diagnostics Group, overseeing forensic analysis, renovation and restoration, building enclosure, building sciences, and parking restoration.

Bolour is joined by Ping Mu, associate and graduate building enclosure consultant and Weijie Liu, graduate engineer.

“We look forward to building on our legacy of preserving and rehabilitating important structures in Canada, in healthcare, higher education, sports, aviation, and the commercial market sectors,” said Gabriel Jimenez, senior principal and executive director of Walter P Moore’s Diagnostic Group.

Walter P Moore adds the Toronto office to its existing 2 Canadian locations. There are 20 locations in the U.S., and two international offices outside of Canada.
