    The Region is inviting Proposals from qualified Proponents to provide engineering services during construction of the 16th Avenue Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation (Phase 2) which is 1.5 kilometres of the 16th Avenue Sewer using the geopolymer lining, from west of Mingay Avenue (MH1602) to west of Williamson Road (MH1601).

    The main objectives of the 16th Avenue Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation (Phase 2) in the City of Markham are to:

    1. Fully rehabilitate 1.5 kilometres of 2,642mm diameter deep sewer from MH1602 to MH1601 with a structurally independent geopolymer liner having a service life greater than 50 years.

    2. Fully rehabilitate the existing maintenance holes (MH1601 and MH1602) with a geopolymer liner having a service life greater than 50 years, including replacement of platforms, access hatch, ladders, and modifications to the existing vortex drop structure.

    3. Stop inflow and infiltration in sanitary sewer and maintenance holes.

    4. Restore site to original conditions or better.
