CALGARY – AGF Rebar Inc. has completed its work on the major expansion and renovation of the MNP Community & Sport Centre, a large-scale project that required the supply and installation of 3,000 tonnes of steel rebar.

According to a project description from Groupe AGF, the company’s role began in June 2022 and was completed in 2024. The project was designed to significantly enhance services for high-performance athletes and the community by adding a new building to the existing facility.

The expansion includes a second 50-metre swimming pool, a new multi-purpose gymnasium, a six-lane running track, and a high-performance training area.

AGF described the work as a “complex and large-scale project” that was divided into three phases. The company noted that its teams leveraged expertise in project management and advanced technology to overcome logistical challenges and meet a tight schedule.

Working with PCL Construction, AGF Rebar Inc. contributed to a structure that is aiming for LEED Gold environmental certification.
