Ottawa Construction News staff writer

The Building Envelope Council Ottawa Region (BECOR) is presenting its first Lunch and Learn Technical Seminar on Jan. 17 relating the collaborative approach in project delivery.

Will Prange and Marin Katov from Architecture 49, the lead architect for the recently completed Faculty of Health Sciences Building at the University of Ottawa will describe how the structure was modelled to achieve LEED Platinum, with a TEDI score of 37.1 kWh/m2.

“This is result of a carefully detailed and cutting edge exterior rainscreen envelope,” the event description says. “The presentation will discuss the architects’ perspective on the challenges faced by the design team.”

The program will be at Sala San Marco, 215 Preston St. from noon to 3 p.m.
