At its 2024 awards, the Building Industry and Land Development Association (BILD) honoured Alan Menkes, President of Menkes Developments, with its Lifetime Achievement Award.

Menkes received the award, the association’s highest honour, last Thursday (May 30) for his work in the community, as well as for his dedication to the industry and the development of high-rise residential buildings in Toronto.

During his tenure at Menkes Development, Menkes established himself as a respected and trusted member of the GTA Development and Home Building Community. His work has led to the construction of over 40,000 condominium units, and he is widely regarded as one of the most trusted home builders in Toronto, BILD said in a statement.

Menkes is a philanthropic leader and serves on the Board of the University Health Network Foundation. He is also a member of the World Presidents’ Organization (WPO), which is dedicated to promoting international cooperation and understanding.

The annual BILD Awards event brings together the top builders and industry professionals in Toronto to recognize and celebrate excellence in the design, construction, marketing and sales of new homes.
