The Buildings Show 2025 will feature the International Architectural Roundtable, presented in partnership with the Ontario Association of Architects (OAA). The session will focus on mixed-use developments and the design strategies needed to address housing, sustainability and economic resilience.
Architects from Canada and abroad will share approaches to integrating diverse program elements within urban projects. Featured speakers include David Pontarini of Hariri Pontarini, Frans de Witte of MVRDV, Michael Sørensen of Henning Larsen, Roberto Bannura of Steven Holl, Amela Brudar of GBL Architects, and architecture writer Adele Weder.
The roundtable takes place Wednesday, Dec. 3, from 8 to 10 a.m. at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
Also speaking at this year’s show is Clive Thurston, former president of the Ontario General Contractors Association, who will discuss the state of the construction industry. A video of Thurston sharing his perspective is available at http://spr.ly/6181AcVJ5.
The show runs Dec. 3 to 5 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. Organizers describe it as Canada’s largest annual gathering of building, design and construction professionals.
