GTA-based general contractor Buttcon Holdings Limited says the business is expanding to Western Canada.

“This expansion supports Buttcon’s strategic plan of being the construction partner of choice for owners, consultants, trades, and employees across Canada,” Buttcon said in a statement last Monday (Feb. 7). This permanent office in Calgary will manage all construction projects in Western Canada and will operate as Buttcon West.

Buttcon has previously completed work in Calgary, Kelowna, and Vancouver and “with our 42 years of construction experience has always wanted to gain a presence in the expanding ICI and residential construction markets in Alberta, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan,” the statement says.

“In addition, Buttcon sees its capabilities in Energy Retro Fits, Mass Timber, and Modular Construction as a benefit to clients by providing best-in-class construction solutions and experienced trade partners.”

Kevin Lawlor will be president and CEO of Buttcon West, based out of Calgary. He will be reporting directly to Buttcon Holdings CEO Mark Butt, CEO at the company’s head office in Concord.

“For Buttcon this is an exciting opportunity, and we are honoured to be part of Western Canada’s construction industry,” Butt said in the statement. “To be actively involved with local communities and to build in Western Canada fulfills our vision of being a coast-to-coast builder and we are proud of the staff that has given us the confidence to grow.”
