Construction is underway on a series of improvements at Thames Park, with work expected to continue through the summer and be completed in spring 2027.
The City of London said the project will add four new pickleball courts, a nature-themed splash pad and a nature-themed playground, along with new tables, benches and a leaf-shaped shade structure.
The project also includes planting more than 30 trees and upgrading the park’s parking lot and walkways. Existing tennis courts, community gardens, pathways, walkways and open green space will remain open and accessible throughout construction.
The improvements follow two years of public engagement with park users and nearby residents. The city said the final design reflects feedback received during that process and thanked community members who participated.
Once complete, the upgrades are intended to expand recreational opportunities for residents while enhancing the park’s amenities for families and visitors.
