Black River Matheson Winter Sand

Detail Of Services: The Township of BRM is wishing to procure a qualified and competent contractor to provide approximately 3,500 Tonnes of approved winter sand (required to meet Ontario Provincial Standard Specification 1004) and re-mix approximately 2,000 Tonnes of previously stockpiled winter sand (currently located in the storage dome). The approved material shall be hauled to the Public Works yard located at 1115 Vimy Ridge Road. The contractor will mix the winter sand with road salt (procured by the Township) at 3% (by mechanically calibrated means). The salted winter sand shall then be placed by means of hopper and articulating conveyor in a conical pile within the winter storage dome at the public works yard. The contractor is to provide all required personnel and equipment to ensure proper screening, loading, hauling, dumping, stockpiling, mixing, and final conical stockpile in a manner that meets the required specifications.

Peel Mayfield Road Widening & Reconstruction

Detail Of Services: This Contract is for the provision of all labour, materials and equipment necessary for the widening and reconstruction of Mayfield Road from West of Chinguacousy Road to Hurontario Street, in the City of Brampton and the Town of Caledon. The work to be done includes but is not limited to, clearing and grubbing including tree removal, earth stripping and grading, installation of storm sewer and culverts, low-impact development (LID) and oil grid separators installation, watermain relocations, granular works, placement of concrete curbs, sidewalks and multi-use pathways, hot mix paving, line painting, traffic signs, traffic signals including cross-ride and street lighting, landscaping and minor related works. The contract also includes McLaughlin Road reconstruction, from Mayfield Road and McLaughlin Road Intersection to approximately 250m South, in the City of Brampton. The work to be completed includes but not limited to, earth stripping and excavation, storm sewer installation, granular works, grading, placement of concrete curbs, sidewalks and multi-use pathways, hot mix paving, line painting, street lighting, and landscaping. This work is generally governed by City of Brampton specifications. The contract also includes the installation of approximately 800 linear meters of pre-cast concrete noise walls along the North and South side of Mayfield Road, from Hurontario Street to West of Robertson Davies Drive/Cresthaven Street, in the City of Brampton, in the Town of Caledon. The work to be completed includes but not limited to, clearing and grubbing including tree removal, partial removals of old wall components, erection of temporary fencing, installation of new pre-cast concrete walls and components, boulevard grading, and minor property restorations.
