Prescott & Russell Residence Redevelopment General Contractors
Industry Name: Medical
Trade Name: Nursing Facilities/Hospice
Project Street: 1020 Cartier Blvd.
Project City: Hawkesbury
Detail Of Services: The Prescott and Russell Residence is a 146 bed municipal long-term care home located in Hawkesbury, Ontario that is administered by the United Counties of Prescott and Russell (UCPR). The Residence, which was constructed in the 1970’s, provides high quality care and services to the residents and communities it serves, based on a commitment to create a family-oriented and secure environment favouring the autonomy of the residents. This was recently exemplified in 2018 when the Residence was granted the status of “Accredited with Exemplary Standing” from the Qmentum Accreditation Program, which is the highest level of achievement awarded for the program. The Residence takes pride in providing an environment where its residents can live with respect and dignity regardless of their language, culture and beliefs. Through the Ministry of Long-Term Care’s Capital Redevelopment Program, the UCPR have been working with the Ministry for the design of a new home to replace the existing Residence. The new Residence will be 198,000 ft2 combined three-storey and two-storey 224 bed facility grouped into six Resident Home Areas (RHA) of 32 beds each, a Specialized RHA of 20 beds for residents with significant mental health challenges and one additional smaller RHA of 12 beds to address the needs of residents with more complex needs who benefit from smaller social groupings. Beyond meeting the current Ministry standards and requirements, the new Prescott and Russell Residence will improve the resident, family, staff, caregiver and volunteer experience as well as further improve the quality of services provided to residents through a new purpose-built facility for many years to come. The 224 beds will be a net increase of 78 beds from the existing Residence, which will provide the much needed additional capacity in a local community where the demand for these beds has been increasing steadily.
Questions Contact: Bidders are to submit all questions in writing through the United Counties of Prescott & Russell Website using the Submit a Question link associated with this bid request. Deadline for Questions: June 1, 2020 at 3:00 PM
