Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC), Real Property Branch requires a qualified general contractor to carry out construction of a Dairy Barn complete with dairy operations equipment and supporting infrastructure and utilities at the Correctional Service of Canada (CSC), Joyceville Institution, located on Ontario Highway 15, near Joyceville, Ontario. This Work shall be in accordance with the three part specifications for Project No. R.100644.001 Joyceville Institution Construct Cow Barn and Manure Tank and the associated Drawing sets 1 and 2.The work includes but is not limited to: a large purpose built dairy cattle barn including office spaces, a manure holding tank, livestock holding areas, parlours, nurseries, refrigerated milk storage, and other ancillary spaces. The dairy cattle barn will be approximately 3,100 m2 and is designed to accommodate a milking herd of approximately seventy (70) cows. Also included are: an extension to fire water line and hydrant system, a stand alone sanitary sewer line and septic field system, potable water wells, distribution lines and treatment equipment, a natural gas fueled backup power generation system and controls, access roads, earthworks and surface drainage structures, area/street lighting, concrete walkways, and landscaping. Work conditions are restrictive in that work will be delivered adjacent to a medium security federal penitentiary and this site is potentially subject to worker security screening, limited access times, and unforeseen interruptions. The Work, and contractor’s associated activities will be preceded in all instances with the contractor installing and maintaining temporary security measures, safety barriers, alternative access, and Environmental Impact Mitigation Measures per legislated standards, and in accordance the sets of Specifications and their respective sets of Drawings.

Dryden Recreation Complex Combined Heat & Power System Design & Engineering

Depending on the results of and outcome of the deliverables of the project expressed in this RFP document, additional related work unforeseen at this time may come into existence. Background information In 2019, the City of Dryden submitted a funding application to the Infrastructure Canada Improvement Program for numerous renovations and retrofits for the Dryden Recreation Complex including the introduction of a Combined Heat and Power (CHP) system to the serve the entire Dryden Recreation Complex. The Dryden Recreation Complex is a sprawling facility that is home to two (2) ice surfaces, a 25 metre pool, therapeutic pool, numerous fitness facilities and meeting spaces. In 2019, a preliminary feasibility study was completed for the installation of three (3) Capstone C65 natural gas turbines. This study was included in the funding proposal that eventually proved successful. The City of Dryden shall be proceeding with the installation of a combined heat and power (CHP)system at the Dryden Recreation Centre, 84 Whyte Avenue. The proposed system will be comprised of three (3) Capstone C65 natural gas turbines with heat recovery in a behind the-meter configuration. The new equipment will be located outside the existing building footprint due to space constraints. Intended construction start date will be June 2022 with substantial completion by December 2022.

Centennial College Progress Campus ICET Generator Project Consultant
