Work includes mortar joints in the visual separation walls to be repointed to remove the visual effect of the mortar cracking. The north easterly corner of the building shows signs of settlement of the footings or foundation walls. Excavation of the exterior surface of the foundation wall and footings will determine the source of the settlement issue so the required structural rehabilitation can be determined. Mortar joints on the exterior concrete block walls to be repointed to re-establish the mortar joints in the block wall until this excavation work is complete. Cracking of the mortar joints must be repointed to restore the concrete block wall. The mortar joints in the non-load bearing concrete block visual separation walls inside the bathrooms must be repointed or the walls removed.
