EllisDon and Build a Dream hosting virtual career fair for recent grads

Ontario Construction News staff writer

A virtual career fair on March 30 from 6 to 9 p.m. will give recent graduates the chance to learn more about EllisDon, hear from the women who work there, network, and interview for a position after the main event.

Speed interviews will be scheduled from 7:30 to 9 p.m. To register for the event, visit the Build a Dream website.

To highlight different roles in the construction industry and create job awareness, EllisDon will be hiring for all positions at the career fair, including IT, Project Management, Field Operations, Finance, HR, Engineering, Design, and BIM/VDC.

Speakers will feature women who work at EllisDon sharing their career paths and advising young women who wish to get into the field on where to start and what opportunities are available.

A People & Culture panel will also feature human resource specialists providing tips and advice for resumes, interviews, and cover letters. This panel will precede the speed interview portion of the evening, allowing attendees to apply new findings.

Build a Dream initiatives encourage young women to explore careers in skilled trades, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math), emergency response, leadership, and entrepreneurship.
