EllisDon has won three major industry awards for its digital and data work, highlighting what the company describes as growing momentum behind efforts to modernize construction technology.
The company’s Digital and Data Engineering (DDE) and Building Digital teams were recognized for advancements in software development, data management and cybersecurity aimed at helping clients and subtrades adopt enterprise-level digital tools.
“These wins show the strength, tenacity, and forward-thinking people behind both our DDE and Building Digital teams,” said Brandon Milner, EllisDon’s chief information officer. “It also reinforces EllisDon’s commitment to solving real industry challenges through practical, scalable solutions.
“We’re turning innovation into impact across our projects, teams and infrastructure.”
At the Building Transformation Awards, EllisDon’s Building Digital division received the Entrepreneurship and Start-Up Award. The honour recognizes the group as a standalone innovation company within EllisDon, created to bring advanced technology capabilities to the construction industry. Judges cited its ability to close the gap between digital tools and on-site delivery.
EllisDon also received the Digital Transformation Award for its Holistic Digital Ecosystem deployed at the Scarborough Academy of Medicine and Integrated Health project. The system integrates technologies such as site cameras, drones, digital walkthroughs and BIM overlays into a unified framework intended to improve safety and operational efficiency.
In a separate recognition, Building Digital earned a 2025 InnoLead Impact Award, which highlights organizations redefining how business challenges are solved through technology and innovation. EllisDon was recognized for its work in digital twins, reality capture, predictive maintenance, asset management and centralized dashboards. Other honourees include Starbucks, Lucid and Genentech.
