Government funding $8.3 million Ottawa housing conversion project

Ontario Construction News staff writer

The provincial government says it is providing more than $8.3 million to allow the Shepherds of Good Hope to convert an existing private residential service home in Ottawa to accommodate single occupancy.

The conversion at 1095 Merivale Rd. to provide 57 supportive housing units “will provide longer-term housing-based solutions for individuals who are homeless or at risk of homelessness,” says the statement released last Friday (June 16).
