Guelph group launches T-shirt campaign to support businesses during construction

A local volunteer group in Guelph has launched a T-shirt campaign to raise money for community advocacy while showing support for downtown businesses dealing with construction.

Resistance & Resilience Guelph has teamed up with downtown vintage clothing shop Three Pieces on the “Wear With Heart” campaign, featuring an “I ♥ Guelph (even with construction)” T-shirt.

The group describes the shirt as “a cheeky way to show local pride, spark conversations, and give back to the community.”

Resistance & Resilience Guelph is a volunteer-run group that supports residents, businesses and community-care organizations facing challenges including construction, tariffs and global instability.

The group will receive 20 per cent of net profits from each shirt sold.

Pre-orders for the first batch close Aug. 7. Shirts are available in three price points ranging from $39 to $75, with the higher-priced options providing an opportunity to contribute more to the campaign.

The group says people who cannot afford a shirt can contact Wear With Heart to see whether assistance is available. Customers can also purchase a shirt for someone else to receive free of charge.

The campaign is intended to offer a visible show of support for downtown businesses while helping fund Resistance & Resilience Guelph’s broader community work.
