H2H Canada places five veterans with Ontario construction career opportunities in November

Helmets to Hardhats Canada reports that five Ontario military veterans were placed with construction career opportunities, including three apprenticeships with Boilermaker Local 128 and an apprenticeship with Carpenters Union local 27..

The organization’s monthly “stat report” shows that 907 Ontario vets have been referred to various local unions since the program’s inception, about half of the 1,641 total

In November, the program had 28 registered veterans and two approved employers., CWW Canada and BonaVista Pools.

Overall the program has placed more than 1,000 veterans and dependants, at an average age of 34. Nationly, 300 veterans were actively seeking employment

The organization’s h2h.ca site reported 2,258 website visitors and 11,935 page views, a significant increase from the month previous.
