Honour the Work a one-stop-shop for info about skilled trades

Ontario Construction News staff writer

With the construction industry facing a labour crisis and no national “one stop shop” to connect Canadians to the many existing skilled trades resources, Angela Coldwell, Jen Hancock and Tim Coldwell launched Honour the Work, a source for interactive resources and educational material, connecting Canadians to fulfilling training and careers in the skilled trades.

The website includes dozens of videos that share real-life experiences and Ontario Construction News is sharing videos each week to highlight the stories of construction workers. Along with free programs for children, high school students, adults and educators across Canada, the site offers a curated collection of tools and resources to help inform and inspire meaningful career choices.

In this week’s video, pipe welder Courtney Chard talks about what inspired her to pursue a skilled trades career.
