The Infrastructure Ontario (IO) Board of Directors has extended Michael Lindsay’s appointment as president and CEO for another three-year term.

Lindsay has led IO since 2019, and during his tenure, the agency has provided exemplary advice and support to the government regarding the renewal and expansion of Ontario’s public infrastructure, Board chair David Lindsay said in an Oct. 3 memo.

Under Lindsay’s leadership, IO has implemented new project models and innovative procurement processes, and has worked to promote greater equity, diversity, and inclusion within its workplace and worksites, the memo said.

“With the full support of the Board, Michael has worked closely with IO’s executive team to set ambitious strategic goals for the next three years to continue to move the agency forward,” board chair David Lindsay said.

“He has also led IO’s efforts to promote greater equity, diversity, and inclusion within its workplace and worksites, and to institute an ESG framework to ensure a consistent approach to asset resilience, energy efficiency, and accessibility.”

Michael Lindsay’s reappointment will provide stability and consistency of leadership, and promote ongoing dialogue and collaborative relationships with IO’s clients and stakeholders, David Lindsay said.
