Inquest into cause of death of Sudbury contractor set for June

An inquest into the death of a contractor at Vale’s Copper Cliff refinery will begin June 13 in Sudbury.

Dr. Harry Voogjarv, regional supervising coroner for the North Region announced the inquest into the death of Ronald Charles Lepage that was rescheduled rom April 2019.

Lepage, 59, was injured when he was pinned under the wheels of a dump truck in April 2017 and died in hospital from his injuries. He was an employee of Cecchetto and Sons at the time.

Four days have been scheduled and ten witnesses are expected to appear with Dr. Geoffrey Bond as presiding officer, Mathieu Ansell and Manon Arbour will as inquest counsel.
