Limen Group of Companies is acquiring the civil infrastructure and demolition assets of York1, expanding its capabilities in excavation, underground servicing and demolition.

The asset acquisition took effect Monday, with closing expected to be completed by the end of October, Limen announced.

York1 has decades of experience in civil infrastructure, including mass and detail excavation, cut-and-fill operations, granular grading, soil movement, sewer and watermain installation, force mains and stormwater management systems.

Its services also include the installation of temporary and permanent stormwater ponds and storage tanks, domestic water and sewer systems, and fire mains.

York1 also provides demolition services for residential, industrial, commercial and institutional projects, as well as heavy civil work. Its capabilities include decommissioning, explosive and non-explosive demolition, and the removal of asbestos, lead paint and mould.

Limen said the acquisition will combine York1’s civil infrastructure and demolition capabilities with its existing construction expertise, allowing it to pursue larger and more complex projects and offer clients a broader range of services.
