Local contractor helps fund Sault Hospital monitors

Ontario Construction News staff writer

The Sault Area Hospital Foundation is currently running a campaign to raise funds to purchase  123 monitors for patients’ vital signs, pain, and temperature. The monitors will be used in various departments throughout the hospital, including the Renal Unit, Cancer Care, and Physiotherapy.

The campaign has been co-ordinated by the Sault Area Hospital Foundation, and has already received a generous donation of one monitor from Mike Moore Construction Ltd., a local construction company.

Mike Moore, President of Mike Moore Construction Ltd., is a renal patient himself, and he knows firsthand the importance of having access to local healthcare services.

“As a renal patient myself, I know firsthand the importance of having access to local healthcare services,” said Moore. “These monitors are essential tools that help to keep hospital care here in the Sault, and I challenge other contractors and industry businesses to match or beat my donation.”

Construction organizations can show their support by making a pledge today at www.sahfoundation.com/heart.
