Milwaukee Tool Canada has announced plans to establish a 54,000-sq. ft. service hub in the Keswick Business Park in Georgina, becoming the latest major tenant in the developing industrial node at the northeast corner of Woodbine and Glenwoods Avenues.

The new facility, slated to open in the fourth quarter of 2026, will be within the 200-acre business park currently being developed by Panattoni Development Company.

The tool manufacturer joins a growing roster of companies settling in the south Keswick employment lands. Turf Care Canada became the park’s first tenant in early 2024, followed earlier this year by Pulp Moulded Products Inc. and Imperial Dade.

The announcement marks a significant footprint for Milwaukee Tool in northern York Region. The company stated the space will be a “purpose-built site” designed to centralize its service operations.

“By consolidating multiple facilities into one modern, purpose-built site, Milwaukee Tool will improve workflow, increase capacity, and provide a more consistent service experience for users nationwide,” the company said in a statement issued Monday.

The facility is expected to employ more than 60 people once fully operational.

Strategic location for industrial growth

The Keswick Business Park has become a focal point for Georgina’s economic development strategy since Panattoni Development Company acquired the 200-acre site in 2021. The site offers zoning for buildings exceeding one million square feet and is situated approximately one hour from Toronto’s urban core via Highway 404.

Mayor Margaret Quirk said the arrival of a global brand like Milwaukee Tool signals “strong momentum” for the municipality’s industrial sector.

“By joining three other tenants already established in the Keswick Business Park, Milwaukee Tool signals strong momentum in our efforts to attract major industrial companies and create meaningful employment opportunities for our residents,” Quirk stated.

John Myers, president of Milwaukee Tool Canada, cited the location’s connectivity and access to skilled labour as key factors in the decision.

“Georgina offers the ideal combination of strategic location, skilled talent, and long-term growth potential,” Myers said.

Broader expansion plans

The Georgina service hub is part of a larger Canadian expansion strategy for the subsidiary of Techtronic Industries Co. Ltd. (TTI).

In addition to the Keswick facility, Milwaukee Tool confirmed Monday it is preparing to launch its first Canadian Distribution Centre in 2026. While the location of the new distribution centre was not specified in the release, the company noted it will be a separate facility intended to improve shipment times by moving inventory into local stock.

The new service hub will be supported by the Town of Georgina’s Business Concierge Program, which assists companies with development timelines and operational setup.
