Minto Communities GTA broke ground on The Heights of Harmony development last week, marking the official start of the Oshawa project’s construction. Designed by RN Design, the master-planned community will include 800 residences with a variety of customizable townhouses.

Minto won BILD’s low-rise project of the year award last month for the project that was designed by RN Design.

“Today, we realize our vision of bringing more housing options and supply for families, young couples, and first-time homebuyers to Oshawa and the Durham region,” said Vince Santino, vice president of development, Minto Communities GTA “We are invested, and that’s because we believe in this community.

“We’re thrilled with the reception of The Heights of Harmony master-planned community to date and we’re looking forward to launching future phases in this idyllic location”.

The nearly 100-acre site will also accommodate a 28-acre park complete with a network of walking paths and a community pond.

Houses are designed to be net-zero ready with high-efficiency windows and insulation to limit heat loss, as well as zoned-HVAC systems that work together to deliver emission reductions of 85 per cent.
