The Niagara Home Builders’ Association (NHBA) hosted its annual Christmas Celebration and Elimination Draw at the Holiday Inn Convention Centre in St. Catharines, marking a festive occasion dedicated to giving back to the community.

For over 13 years, the NHBA has partnered with Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of Niagara to raise much-needed donations for local youth. The collaboration focuses on supporting the young people who benefit from BBBS’s mentorship programs, providing them with vital resources during the holiday season.

This year’s event set a new record, with NHBA members generously contributing an impressive array of donations, including new, unwrapped gifts for children and teens ages 6-18.

“We are proud to continue our support of Big Brothers Big Sisters year after year, thanks to the incredible generosity of our member companies,” said NHBA President Paul Savoia. “This organization is a cornerstone of our community, and we applaud the positive difference they make throughout the Niagara Region.”

On Wednesday morning, the BBBS St. Catharines office received a large delivery of toys, books, games, and gift cards, all of which were warmly welcomed by staff members. The donations will be carefully sorted and distributed according to age groups, ensuring that every child and teen receives something special.

The mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters is to create life-changing mentoring relationships that unlock the potential of young people. The NHBA takes great pride in supporting such an impactful organization, which plays a vital role in shaping the futures of local children and youth.
