Ontario Construction News staff writer

The City of Niagara Falls, in partnership with the Canada Summer Games and the Greater Niagara Baseball Association (GNBA), unveiled plans last month for a comprehensive upgrade of WL Houck Park, located at 5709 Valley Way.

This project includes a state-of-the-art batting tunnel facility, plyometric warm-up station, pitching mound bullpen, and an -new multi-use court space, including a pickleball court.

The initiative will revitalize the GNBA’s batting tunnel facility and the existing tennis court space.

Also, installing a new multi-use sports court will maintain the neighbourhood’s amenity space, catering to diverse user groups.

“This project represents a significant investment in the community’s recreational infrastructure and underscores the collaborative spirit among the City of Niagara Falls, the Canada Summer Games, and the GNBA,” the city said in a statement.
