SafetyCo says it has expanded its footprint across Ontario with the launch of SafetyCo North, following the acquisition of Norpro’s Health and Safety Division. The move gives the company a permanent presence in Northern Ontario and extends its integrated safety services into the region’s key industrial communities.

The company says the acquisition will enhance its ability to deliver comprehensive health and safety solutions, with a new office and training facility now open in Sault Ste. Marie. The service area will cover a wide swath of the North, from Timmins to Thunder Bay.

“I’m thrilled to announce that SafetyCo is officially expanding into Northern Ontario with the launch of SafetyCo North,” SafetyCo president and partner Mark Ferrier said in a statement. “This transition is about more than expansion — it’s about bringing our innovative total safety spectrum approach to one of Canada’s most dynamic industrial regions.”

SafetyCo, launched in 2022, provides training, compliance, and on-site services under one umbrella.

“We now have boots on the ground with a dedicated office and training facility in Sault Ste. Marie, serving communities from Timmins to Thunder Bay,” Ferrier said. “We’re bridging the gap between safety training, compliance, and on-site services — all delivered seamlessly through one organization.

“Every Northern Ontario business deserves comprehensive, best-in-class safety solutions delivered seamlessly through one organization! We’ve been building towards this vision since founding SafetyCo in 2022 — and today, we’re taking another major step forward in modernizing Canada’s health and safety sector.”
