Ontario Construction News staff writer

Infrastructure Ontario and West Park Healthcare Centre are pleased to announce substantial completion of the new West Park Healthcare Centre located in west Toronto.

A significant project milestone, substantial completion marks the end of all major construction and the start of the 30-year operational term. Over the next few months West Park will begin a transition period, which includes training, building tours and move-in planning between November 2023 and April 2024. Opening day is expected in Spring 2024.

West Park will provide specialized rehabilitation and complex continuing care to help individuals manage difficult health challenges like lung disease, stroke, amputation and musculoskeletal issues arising from a life-changing event or illness.

The facility features a new six-storey hospital building, providing inpatient, outpatient and outreach services. It will also feature increased green space, landscaping for outdoor therapy, therapeutic gardens, walking paths and courtyards, plus terraces on every floor.
