The City of Greater Sudbury will use $4.4 million from the Canada Infrastructure Program to revitalize 14 outdoor tennis courts and 14 outdoor basketball courts across the community over the next several years. The project aims to improve the quality of Greater Sudbury’s recreation and leisure infrastructure and increase utilization.

Work will be completed in phases with an average of four to five facilities scheduled for revitalization during each phase, beginning in the spring of 2022. The entire project is expected to be complete by 2027.

Also, the city is seeking feedback from residents and local sports organizations to ensure construction meets community needs.
