Ontario Construction News staff writer

Infrastructure projects across Canada are in the spotlight as nominees for the 2024 National Awards for Innovation and Excellence in Public-Private Partnerships are revealed, including projects from Alberta, Ontario, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Northwest Territories and Quebec.

Projects range from those newly opened to others that have been completed for several years and are located in Alberta, Ontario, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, the Northwest Territories and Quebec.

“This may be the most diverse range of assets, project locations and stages of project life cycles of Canadian P3 projects we’ve ever had nominated in the almost 30 years we’ve hosted the national awards program,” said Lisa Mitchell, president and CEO of The Canadian Council for Public-Private Partnerships (CCPPP).“That’s why this year is so exciting. Each of the project  nominees is delivering valuable services to Canadian communities illustrating the long-term collaboration and innovation that drives P3s.

“Each nominee exemplifies the valuable services being delivered to communities, showcasing the long-term collaboration and innovation that characterize P3s.”

Awards will be presented at the P3 National Awards Gala luncheon in Toronto on Tuesday, Nov. 5—the final day of P3 2024, Canada’s Infrastructure Conference.

The 2024 awards are supported by AECOM, EllisDon, and McCarthy Tétrault LLP.
