Thunder Bay launches online appointment booking for development services

Ontario Construction News staff writer

The City of Thunder Bay is now making it easier for contractors, homeowners, and others to schedule appointments with development services staff to help them get started on building projects.

The new online appointment booking tool allows users to visit this website to set up an appointment.

The city says it also launched a new online permitting portal in 2023, which allows users to apply and pay for many building permits and planning applications online, as part of its digital strategy.

More complex planning inquiries may require a pre-consultation application, the city reminds users, which can be found out on this website.

“The introduction of online appointment booking aligns with the city’s digital strategy and builds on the 2023 launch of the Property and Permits portal, which allows users to apply and pay for many building permits and planning applications online,” said a news release issued by the city last Friday (June 28).
