The City of  Toronto issued $1,246,858,237 of building permits in September.

The largest permit, for $150 million, is for a new building at 117 Broadway Ave.

Westdale Properties and Reserve Properties are building the 923-unit Line 5 project, two towers on an eight storey podium at 117-127 Broadway Ave., the Real Estate News Exchange (RENX) reported earlier. IBI Group has designed the structures. Nearby at 110 Broadway Ave., will be Untitled, a condo with 33 and 21 storey towers and a shared podium.

Other significant projects in September include a $122 million permit for site services at 5220 Yonge St. and interior alterations valued at $90 million at 1395 Tapscott Rd.

G Group Development and Lalu Group are developing the mixed-use Yonge St. project, according to Urban Toronto.

For the Tapscott Road project, Toronto.com reports that “First Gulf is constructing this 400,000-sq. ft. building for Hillman, a Scarborough company expanding from southwest Scarborough and consolidating locations in Vaughan and Pickering. The building will occupy one third of a 60-acre site.”
