Voting is now open for the People’s Choice category in the 2023 Mississauga Urban Design Awards.
The awards recognize excellence in “innovative, dynamic and trendsetting” urban design projects that are transforming Mississauga.
All projects nominated for the 2023 Mississauga Urban Design Awards are eligible for the People’s Choice Award.
There are three types of projects:
- Urban Elements – a standalone object that contributes to the quality of the public realm
- Private Projects – a building or group of buildings that achieve urban design excellence
- Public Projects – a building or group of buildings that are accessible and serve the public
Established in 1981, the Mississauga Urban Design Awards is the longest running program of its kind in Ontario.
The People’s Choice Award is given to the project that receives the most public votes through online voting.All eligible projects will be featured on the city’s Instagram account (@citymississauga) over the summer.
Voting is open until July 30 and winners will be announced Sept. 21.
