WIN Awards celebrate outstanding female leaders in Canadian infrastructure

The Women’s Infrastructure Network (WIN) honoured emerging and outstanding female leaders from across Canada at the 10th Annual WIN Awards. Ceremonies were held in six Canadian cities on Apr. 25.

A total of 49 women were nominated across both categories.

Cheryl Nelms, General Manager at Metro Vancouver oversees a portfolio of major infrastructure projects worth over $6 billion for BC’s most populated regional district and was named WIN Outstanding Leader for 2024.

“Thank you for paving the way for the next generation in Canadian infrastructure,” WIN wrote on X. “We’re inspired by your stellar accomplishments, fierce dedication & limitless capabilities & can’t wait for what’s next!”

Andrea McLean, senior vice president at Fengate Asset Management received the Outstanding Emerging Leader award. She has 14 years of experience working in project management, consultation and asset management of large infrastructure projects, specifically public-private partnerships (P3). For the last nine years, she has worked with Fengate building their infrastructure division.
