Women working in construction invited to ‘Let it WOS’

Ontario Construction News staff writer

Women working in skilled trades, STEM, construction, manufacturing, agriculture, and transportation are invited to ‘Let it WOS’, an event hosted by Women on Site on Jan. 20 starting at 6 p.m.

Tickets are available until Jan. 6. Click the link to order tickets or to learn more.

It’s a chance to enjoy a decadent three-course meal, connect with like-minded professionals, share success stories, and be uplifted by the incredible women making waves in traditionally male-dominated fields.

Participants will hear from presenting sponsor, Build a Dream, about their exciting 2024 initiatives in the works for women in the trades.

The winter celebration “will surely leave you inspired. Join us for a night of sparkle, community, and the promise of a triumphant new year.”

Women On Site was created by Constanza, an environmental geochnician, Darci, an electrical apprentice, Samara, a Red Seal sheet metal worker, and Tessa, Red Seal bricklayer.

The four women working in construction say they saw the need for a community for people just like us.
