Vancouver-based BLOOH Solution Ltd. has started work on a new production and logistics campus in Shenzhen, China, as the cleantech firm scales up manufacturing capacity to serve Asian markets and global demand.

The company develops sustainable material and energy systems for industrial applications.

The facility, announced Nov. 4 by parent company Nexum, will serve as a regional manufacturing base and international fulfilment centre for BLOOH’s industrial systems, which focus on sustainable material and energy technologies.

The company says the site will combine architecture-led planning with energy-efficient systems, featuring daylight-optimized halls, modular production lines, and intelligent climate-control systems. A photovoltaic façade and green roof are among the sustainability measures under evaluation.

Locating in Shenzhen will position BLOOH closer to component suppliers and automation partners, helping shorten lead times and improve responsiveness for high-growth markets across Asia, the company said. The site will also operate as a demonstration hub for customers and partners.

Work is under way to sequence facility fit-out, equipment installation, and worker training, with milestones including finalizing production-line specifications and supplier qualification. BLOOH plans to phase in operations over the coming months, aligning digital traceability and quality controls ahead of multi-shift production.

“This Shenzhen build sets a new internal benchmark for how we combine efficiency, design quality, and sustainability in an industrial environment,” said Matthias von Abensberg, a Nexum representative and strategic adviser to BLOOH. “Our goal is a facility that is as communicative and adaptable as it is resource-efficient.”
