Boiseries Raymond has opened a new $1.5-million factory on Kepler Avenue in Quebec City, doubling its previous production space as it looks to expand operations and meet growing demand for interior finishing products.

The 25,000-square-foot facility will allow the company to increase production capacity and broaden its inventory, which includes mouldings, doors, hardware, and stair components. Management says the move comes at a crucial time, with the construction sector facing sustained pressure from housing shortages and rising demand from contractors and renovators.

“For more than 65 years, Boiseries Raymond has adapted to the needs of the market and the construction industry,” said François Roussin, general manager of Groupe Boiseries Raymond. “This new factory positions us to continue that leadership and better serve our customers in the greater Quebec City area and across Eastern Quebec.”

Founded in 1960, the company has grown steadily through acquisitions, including Portes Lano, Portes Renaissance, and Portes Landrek in Trois-Rivières, cementing its place as a leader in interior finishing products. Its footprint now extends through Quebec City, Montreal, Trois-Rivières, Sherbrooke, Gatineau, St-Eustache, and Rivière-du-Loup, where a new contractor’s counter recently opened.

The Quebec City expansion comes as Boiseries Raymond strengthens partnerships, including a new joint venture with Escaliers Gilles Grenier to form Escaliers Grenier-Raymond, which specializes in staircases for the regional market.

“With this investment, Boiseries Raymond reaffirms its commitment to innovation, quality, and growth,” said Roussin. “We are proud to continue building with local raw materials and to contribute to the strength of Quebec’s construction industry.”
