The Canadian Construction Association is holding its annual conference March 11 to 14 at the Fairmont Chateau Frontenac in Quebec City.
About 500 construction professionals from across the country are expected to attend.

The conference opens March 11 with Charting the Future: Canadian Politics in Transition, sponsored by Aviva Canada. Political journalist Chantal Hébert will headline the session, offering insights into Canada’s shifting political landscape. With the announcement of a new Liberal Party leader just days before the event and a federal election expected, Hébert expects a lively discussion.
Participants will hear from CCA President Rodrigue Gilbert on March 12, along with Patrick Lamarre, President of Kiewit Canada Group Inc. and Heather Masterson, President and CEO of Travelers Canada. The topic will be emerging business trends and opportunities for growth in an industry undergoing rapid transformation.
Also on Mar. 12, Paul Smetanin, President of the Canadian Centre for Economic Analysis will present Building in the Void: Governance Challenges and Risks Facing Canada’s Construction Future. This session will tackle issues including political polarization, ineffective leadership, and the misuse of resources.
