Asphodel Norwood Maple Avenue Sewage Pumping Station Electrical Upgrades

Detail Of Services: The Township of Asphodel Norwood is seeking qualified individuals/contractors to submit a bid for Electrical Upgrades to the Maple Avenue Sewage Pumping Station located in the village of Norwood. The Maple Avenue sanitary sewage pumping station is currently equipped with two 7.5 hp Meyers submersible pumps, the controls for these pumps are located in a cabinet with starters and level a transmitter. The station is controlled with a plc located in an adjacent cabinet with radio communications back to the Wastewater Facility, the station is also equipped with a back-up generator and automatic transfer switch with back up floats for high level alarms and pumps. The Township is seeking qualified contractors to supply and install required equipment to replace and relocate an existing local control panel and an adjacent PLC panel into one 36” stainless steel cabinet. Replacement of all associated local junction boxes, relocated with new conduit entrances into the wet well along with appropriate explosion proof seals to provide termination of pump power/control cables along with float cabling is also required. The new cabinet will allow for relocation of the PLC/SCADA controller (existing), radio equipment (existing), and backplate inside along with two new pump soft starts, ultrasonic level controller (existing), associated control devices, cabinet heater, cooling fan, UPS, relays and alarm equipment to maintain system currently in service. Soft starts shall be sized appropriately and allow for reasonable flexibility for potential future upgrades to pumps etc. A warranty of one year shall be provided on all work, excluding new equipment supplied with manufacture warranty. Contractor will coordinate and provide all required ESA certificates/inspections.
